At ORBCOMM, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Product Manager to lead our modem and module product portfolio. This is a high-impact role in our Satellite IoT division, where you’ll own the full product lifecycle—from requirements definition and technical collaboration to product launch and long-term support.
This role is based out of our Ottawa, Ontario office. We operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week onsite at our Kanata office, with the option to work remotely for up to two (2) days per week.
Drive Product Strategy & Roadmaps: Define and maintain the roadmap for satellite and satellite/cellular hardware solutions, aligning with customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
Lead Product Lifecycle: Own product development from concept through launch, including defining scope, balancing timelines and cost, and working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales, and support.
Engage with Customers & Partners: Serve as the voice of the customer, working with strategic accounts and partners to ensure solutions address real-world challenges.
Champion Execution: Act as the primary product lead across cross-functional teams to convert customer insight into requirements and drive execution through agile development cycles.
Enable Sales & Field Teams: Provide expert support during sales engagements, customer pilots, and technical evaluations.
Support Product Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing and Product leaders to shape product positioning and messaging, including documentation, training, and launch materials.
Experienced Leader: 7+ years of product management experience in hardware, embedded systems, or IoT, with at least 5 years managing cross-functional development and launch.
Strategic Thinker & Doer: Proven success translating customer and market needs into technical requirements and roadmaps that drive adoption and revenue.
Organized & Action-Oriented: Strong planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; Digital & AI Fluent: Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance productivity, with a commitment to continuous learning in digital marketing and AI literacy.
Willing to Travel: Able to travel internationally up to 10–20% as needed.

The anticipated starting salary range for candidates expressing interest in this position is CAD $130,000 – 150,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, technical experience, skills, certifications, etc.
