Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are a growing public accounting and advisory firm based in Cochrane Alberta that provides full-service accounting and bookkeeping support to small businesses and individuals across Alberta. As we head into a busy season we are looking to add a Bookkeeper to support our accounting team. This role offers flexibility in hours and term length and may evolve into a longer-term or permanent position for the right person.

The Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions during peak periods particularly throughout tax season. Working closely with the Office Manager and accounting team this position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented reliable and comfortable working in a professional services environment.

This role can be structured as part-time or full-time and seasonal or ongoing depending on availability workload and fit.

Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties including data entry and account reconciliation

Scan organize and file client documentation (digital and physical)

Assist with preparing working papers and supporting documents for tax filings and financial statements

Draft and prepare engagement letters and routine client correspondence

Manage and maintain client records and internal databases

Provide general administrative and operational support to the accounting team

Answer phones respond to emails and interact professionally with clients as needed

Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience is an asset

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); experience with accounting software is an asset

Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time depending on availability)
