Import & Export Coordinator (F/M)

ITN Logistics is looking for an Ocean Export Coordinator (Freight Forwarding).
The candidate should have 3+ years of freight industry experience.
Should be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
Functional Accountability:
Provide superior service to customers in all aspects of Ocean Exports.
Keeping Customers informed with booking confirmations, pre-alerts.
Arrange collection and transportation of goods directly or through 3rd parties, locally and with overseas agents.
Communicating shipment updates and pick-ups with overseas agents.
Issuance of AWB, delivery request and releases.
Assisting inside/ outside sales team with Client request and up to date information.
Preparing profit share calculations and negotiate rates with carriers, agents and related vendors.
Ensuring billing and collections are done in a timely and systematic manner.
Reviewing and approving vendor/agent debit/credit notes.
Other admin functions related to the department.

Essential Criteria:
Superior knowledge of the Logistics industry and the key players within the industry nationally and globally.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage a team-based approach, and develop excellent relationships with customers and ITN Department.
A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively.
Good organizational skills together with the ability to prioritize functions.
The ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership and support staff, and to be able to manage high pressure or crisis situations calmly.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Recognize how to maximize profits.
Knowledge of Ocean freight operation, documentation, products, operations, security, Customs regulations and Government laws/regulations and equipment.
