Truck & Coach Mechanic/Technician

Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at our Guelph location.(As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician, you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems

• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
• Communicate with customers to explain work needed
• Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. automotive technology) an asset
• 1-3 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industry
• Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucks
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software
• Experience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
