We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Reporting to lead our corporate financial accounting team. This key position will partner with the business to improve processes and systems, enhance decision-making, and support the execution of our corporate strategy and vision, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Analyze financial statements and operating site reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
Oversee corporate accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset management, ensuring accurate and complete records.
Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and coordinate the completion of audits.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, assigning tasks, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, while ensuring the right training and performance appraisals.
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Business Administration.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector, including managing accounting teams and financial processes.
Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for managing deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
Flexibility and adaptability to manage shifting work priorities and varying volumes of work.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
