This is an onsite opportunity requiring 5 days work from CGI Halifax NS or Moncton NB or St. Johns NL office every week.
We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and we are still growing! We are seeking an experienced Python Developer at the level to join our dynamic team. Join this exciting new initiative as a Python Developer.
Design develop and maintain robust scalable and secure Python-based applications and services.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of Generative AI-powered tools and applications tailored to finance professionals.
- Work with large-scale data systems and production-grade software capable of handling high-throughput data-intensive workloads.
- Optimize application performance memory usage and concurrency ensuring code quality and maintainability through clean idiomatic and well-documented Python.
- Contribute to and uphold best practices in software architecture DevOps CI/CD and cloud-native development.
- Ensure performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
- University or Technical Diploma in IT discipline with equivalent experience with five years plus of industry experience.
- Proficient in deploying software products into production capable of handling large volumes of data at scale.
- Design develop and maintain robust scalable and secure Python-based applications and services.
- Strong understanding of Python internals performance tuning and advanced language features.
- Write clean idiomatic and well-documented Python code following PEP8 and enterprise coding standards.
- Optimize Python applications for performance memory usage and concurrency.
- Experience with Financial Data a plus.
