Operations Manager, Property Management

Your New Company Blackwood Management Corporation is a respected Canadian real estate investment and asset management firm serving institutional and private clients nationwide. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Operations Manager will be taking an active lead in the day-to-day property maintenance of Eagle Creek Village — a 230,000 sq ft mixed-use property with a strong retail and office presence as well as a smaller residential component.

In this role, you will oversee and perform regular and preventative maintenance, while working closely with trusted contractors to ensure all service agreements are upheld to the highest standards. You will also contribute to capital planning and project coordination as well as assist with reviewing annual operational budgets for the property. Building strong, positive relationships with tenants is essential to this role as you will be the go‑to contact for addressing requests promptly and professionally. You will be responsible for maintaining Eagle Creek Village as a welcoming, well managed destination where tenants and the community can thrive.

The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of initiative, as well as experience in commercial building maintenance or building operations. You excel at prioritizing, are self-motivated and detail oriented. 5+ years experience in a Building Operations role (retail & commercial experience is an asset).
