Installation Field Technician

Job Description
As a Field Technician you will perform on-site installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment and printers to assure customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor work load and prioritize service tickets
Travel in your company van to various customer locations
Troubleshoot customer problems, diagnose, resolve and/or escalate problems
Communicate with other internal groups to resolve issues
Train/share knowledge with other associates
Administrative duties include submission of reports as needed
Use of time for learning, growth and development
Working Conditions
Drive company cars/vans a significant part of the day (sitting an average of 2-4 hours, occasionally up to 6 hours)
Occasional prolonged standing up to 8 hours a day
Frequent lifting and carrying items up to 25 lbs. (3-6 hours a day)
Lifting and carrying items potentially 80 lbs. (up to 3 hours a day)
Pushing/pulling up to 200 lbs. (up to 3 hours a day)
Prior Experience
Previous electronics experience or training required
Excellent communication skills, organized and personable
Must be able to attend a 6-week paid training class in the United States
Willing to travel extensively with good driving history and availability 24/7
Tech school, previous technical work experience a plus
A+ certification and experience with LAN/WAN is preferred
Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience
Ability to understand and work with all PC based products and the in-depth knowledge of networks and related components
Able to install all related hardware components and train customers on products
Knowledge of the Unix operating system and commands
A+ certified is a plus
Must be able to list 50+ pounds
Good driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
Open to overnight traveling up to 5%
