Electrical Engineering in Training
BBA Consultants
Join BBA and make the most of your experience by actively contributing to the various stages of major electrical engineering projects, from the earliest stages of the business relationship to onsite equipment commissioning.
Help prepare design deliverables under the supervision of project engineers
Assist with site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university
Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
At least one year of experience in engineering
Familiarity with reading and preparing various types of electrical schematics (single lines, three lines and interconnection drawings)
Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
Strong communication (spoken and written in English), soft and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel to client sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA and abroad for short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests and more
Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
Ability to draft technical documents in both languages
Asset: knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
Asset: knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE and EMTP-RV
