The Prince Albert Historical Society, located on the bank of the North Saskatchewan River, operates four museums in the City of Prince Albert- the Historical Museum, the John and Olive Diefenbaker Museum National Historic Site, the Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections, and the Evolution of Education Museum. These four museums, located in three areas of the city, represent the story of Prince Alberts people in their own distinct theme. The Society's mandate is to preserve and promote the heritage of Prince Albert and area for residents, visitors and researchers to understand the past and inform the future.
The Museum Interpreters, working during the months of May through August, share in and contribute to a strong team atmosphere while carrying out responsibilities for the day-to-day operation of the museums operated by the Prince Albert Historical Society. Museum Interpreters will have an interest in local history, be friendly and outgoing, enjoy meeting members of the public, and display a high degree of motivation.
Enrolled in a post-secondary program in fall 2026 (preference for Social Science and Education Programs).
- Be available to work full-time for the entirety of the season
- Meet eligibility criteria for Young Canada Works and/or Canada Summer Jobs.
- Public speaking experience and working with the public is an asset.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- A Criminal Record Check is required for the position.
