Prepare varied surfaces for painting by thoroughly cleaning, sanding, removing rust or old coatings, and masking specific areas to ensure a pristine finish.

• Operate industrial sandblasting equipment to effectively remove paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt from metal parts, motors, and chassis.
• Maintain proper control of pressure and direction of abrasive materials to prevent damage to underlying surfaces while ensuring effective cleaning.
• Load abrasive materials, such as sand or grit, into hoppers and strictly monitor levels to maintain a consistent flow during operations.
• Lift, carry, and position heavy parts and equipment onto racks, into barrels, or into blasting cabinets, adhering to safe lifting protocols.
• Prepare a wide variety of parts for the paint shop, specifically focusing on motors, chassis, and general surface preparation tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, reporting or correcting any unsafe working conditions immediately to the supervisor.
• Perform other general labour tasks and duties as assigned to support the manufacturing & logistics team.

A strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of WHMIS or industrial safety standards.

• Proven experience with sandblasting, surface preparation, or industrial cleaning equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate machinery and power tools safely.
