Product developer (Food related) Location Mississauga, ON : Lake City Foods is a medium sized private label food manufacturer located in Mississauga, Ontario, we are a BRC, Kosher & Organic certified plant looking to expand on our Product Development team. Our company is a dry manufacture of baking mixes, pancakes, soup and gravy mixes, rice side dishes and stuffing.
The position of Product Developer will report directly to COO. The primary objective is this individual is to facilitate the progression of R&D through successful development, approvals, plant trials process improvements and product launches.
Coordinates the product development process including new formulation, reformulation, evaluations of new & existing raw materials, overseeing plant trials and production. Managing customer sample requests while creating & maintaining product specifications. Meeting with sales representatives & assistance of sourcing for raw materials.
R&D experience in food industry with knowledge of food science and cooking & baking skills.
Knowledge of Genesis software, and FDA & Canadian Food regulations an asset.
