Salary: $58000-$60000/ anually depending upon experience
We are seeking a hard-working detail-oriented and energetic Property Manager for rental units in Windsor. This individual will be the primary point of contact for all building and rental-related matters.
Reporting directly to the Owner the Property Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance administration tenant relations and day-to-day operations. Experience with Yardi or Buildium is an asset (not essential) but strong reporting skills and a systems-oriented mindset are a must .
Responsibilities
Operations
Supervise preparation of vacant units for new tenants
Address tenant concerns in compliance with Landlord and Tenant Board regulations
Facilitate work orders and coordinate all maintenance and cleaning activities
Ensure proper upkeep of building grounds
Purchase goods and services following the companys purchase order system
Obtain quotes for major contracts and repairs
Train direct and supervise on-site personnel
Tenant Relations & Administration
Promptly and effectively respond to tenant issues
Maintain positive tenant relationships
Show vacant units to prospective tenants
Collect and record rent payments (experience with Yardi/Buildium preferred)
Serve legal notices when necessary
Lease upcoming units and complete all required documentation
Maintain accurate tenant files and records
Prepare and submit timely reports
Monitor and enforce lease terms and building rules
Safety
Ensure the safety and security of all residents and buildings
Respond professionally to emergencies
Maintain required fire safety and seasonal logs
Marketing & Leasing
Monitor and stay informed about local rental market trends
Oversee leasing activities including screening tenants and signing leases
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in property management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and capable of multitasking
Strong administrative and time-management skills
Patience and professionalism when dealing with tenants
Valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable vehicle
