Edmonton Farmers Market Sales Location Edmonton, AB T6E 5S8 : Job Summary Fallentimber Meadery is 3rd generation honey producer and one of Canada's largest mead (alcoholic beverages made from honey) producers. We are known for producing an exceptionally high quality, pure, unpasteurized liquid honey that is truly unique and for our flagship product, the Meadjito - a refreshing take on the mojito, but made with fermented honey instead of rum. In addition to honey and mead, we recently launched a line of line of Honey-Kissed Sodas which offer an all-natural, low-calorie alternative to other beverages on the market. We have spent the last 15 years developing a thriving market for mead in Alberta - a province that produces more than 40% of Canada's honey - and we are now looking to leverage this growing consumer awareness to expand into more grocery and restaurant customers with our premium honey and sodas.
Over the years, we have learned to leverage farmers' markets across the province to connect with our end customers, introduce new products through sampling and education, and to act a focal point for further distribution.
As a farmers' market sales representative, you will act as a key link to the community and will help us share our story and our products with enthusiastic customers. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine passion for communication and sales as well as an authentic interest in honey, and our beverage offerings.  Self-motivation, strong communication and sales acumen are essential.
Serving customers at mobile markets in the Edmonton area and occasionally at Bountiful market
Presenting samples and educating customers about our products to build brand awareness
Driving company transit vans to markets, setup and take down tables, tents and displays
Managing inventory and sample records
Cash management at point of sale, checkout, and delivery of cash to accounts receivable
Support with in-store product demos at liquor and grocery stores in the area
Support with deliveries to wholesale customers in the area
Self-motivated, customer focused and extraverted
Reliable and willing to work weekends, and some long shifts around market hours with travel
Previous retail sales experience, beekeeping experience or educational background is a plus
Valid class 5 drivers' licence and at least 3 years of insurance history in Canada
Valid ProServe and food safety certification an asset
This is a seasonal position, beginning in May and ending in September

• Hours will vary depending on market schedules
• $15/hour plus commission based on gross sales, $80 per month cell phone allowance
• Vacation pay of 4% and stat holiday pay
• Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalContract length: Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
