Production Supervisor - (packaging)- Night Shift

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to fill an existing vacancy. Can Art Aluminum is a privately owned held, North American based extruder of standard and custom aluminum profiles. The Production Supervisor’s main role is to supervise the extrusion department and coordinate activities of workers to manufacture a wide variety of custom extrusions. Lead the shift and achieve desired results by affectively communication job expectations and taking ownership of team performance through planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Train and develop employees, identify high-potential individuals, and recommend cross-training opportunities within the team.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing quality-related procedures, policies and organization standards.

Achieve daily scheduled production output as per plan. Anticipate risk and take corrective action in advance.
Enforce policy and procedures by training, feedback, corrective action, and progressive discipline procedures as per the company policy.
Manage the daily operation of all presses for maximum output.

• Collaborating effectively within the die shop, packing, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure production targets are consistently met.
• Ensure all daily and weekly tasks such as attendance taking, timecards approvals, quality checks, weekly JSP training, work order checklist etc., Supportive of all the shifts and departments within the Lakeshore Plants, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Experienced in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree or diploma in a relevant field (Engineering) preferred.

Ability to work 12 hours continental shift schedule (Day & Night Shifts).

Plant Environment.
Overtime as required.
