Inspecteur contrôle qualité (soudure)

Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power's Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power's CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
The Mechanical Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the FCFR construction activities performed under the JV QA Program. The position reports to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Participate in execution of the Inspection and Test Plans.
Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to:
Dimensional inspections.
Visual welding inspection.
Hardness testing.
Positive material identification.
Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required.
Perform internal weld monitoring as required.
Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system.
Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.
W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection. (Computer literate in MS Office.
ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ ISO 9001 and CWB experience.
Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room would be considered an asset.
Extent Of Public Contact:
Project Managers, project personnel, estimating personnel.
Various work locations in both field and office.
Travel as necessary.
Due to the nature of work conducted by Shoreline, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks. The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education, and other pertinent information. Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred.
