JFE Shoji Power Canada (JSC) is an electrical steel products manufacturer located in Burlington, Ontario. As the largest producer of transformer cores in North America, JSC specializes in wound, amorphous, and step-lap cores for power generation and distribution equipment. Its electrical steel products and magnetic materials are also used in electric vehicle motors and charging station infrastructure, data centres, audio equipment, and other industrial applications.
Since 1972, JSC (formerly Cogent) has grown from a small niche manufacturer to an integral part of the North American electrical steel supply chain with multiple facilities and over 500 employees. Essential to the business by driving high production output, the vacant Machine Operator positions in our Wound Core, Amorphous and Stacked Core departments ensure operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality products on time to meet customer expectations.
Hourly rate: $23.64 per hour, plus shift premium
Please note this role is a contract role to start (with the potential to become permanent) and is on continental rotating shift (11-12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights)
Ensure product meets quality requirements as per work order, operating procedures and customers’ specifications. Follow priority schedule and achieve production requirements
Work collaboratively with incoming/outgoing shifts
This role is on continental rotation shift
1 year minimum Manufacturing experience is a requirement
- Strong measuring skills using tape measurers, vernier calipers, and micrometers is an asset
- Basic computer skills
