Wellness Coach
East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division is seeking applicants to serve as a Wellness Coach. A Wellness Coach is part of an integrated multidisciplinary team approach in providing mental wellness promotion, prevention, education and crisis intervention services to children, youth and their families within a school setting. The Wellness Coach will research best practices in developing programming for students. The Wellness Coach will work closely with the Family School Liaison Worker to help provide a full complement of mental wellness programs. This is a fixed-term contract running from August 25, 2026, to June 25, 2027. The Wellness Coach would report to the Assistant Superintendent, Liberty Stafford. Catholic School, Stettler

This position will be 0.6 FTE within the 10 months of the school year. The time will be split between the two schools.

Preference will be given to applicants who have knowledge/training/previous experience in mental health and community engagement.
Education:
Experience with and knowledge of the workflow of K-12 education settings
Mental Health awareness and community engagement experiences
Committed to achieving school and district assurance outcomes for students and staff
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a desire to serve others
Ability to coordinate learning activities for students, staff and parents
Diverse experience and expertise in organizing and facilitating activities, and collaborating with community agencies
Ability to integrate technology to enhance and support learning outcomes
Highly motivated and self-directed requiring minimal guidance and supervision
Work collaboratively with school staff to identify areas of need in the mental wellness of students
Provide immediate short-term response, including problem solving, coping and crisis management skills for students until they are connected to an appropriate service provider
Create physical and social environments that support the acquisition of healthy relationships, positive skills and opportunities for mental health and physical well- being of students and their families
