We are seeking experienced Arborist Climbers who have a passion for preserving and caring for trees.
Position Title: Arborist Climber
Full time permanent 40 hours per week
May be required to travel outside of Nanaimo as part of the role.

Perform all required ground climbing and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments as directed by crew leader
Demonstrate high safety standards sound tree risk assessment skills equipment inspection skills proper application of approved knots proper climbing techniques and procedures proper pruning and small removal skills and proper rigging skills
Learn understand and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies and participate in safety training sessions
Demonstrate strong communication skills with crew members and crew leader
Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or designated supervisor Arborist Representative or Local Manager
Minimum 1 year of experience climbing with arborist approved climbing system and bucket operation in the tree care industry.
Formal training or qualifications in chainsaw maintenance and cutting aerial cutting using chainsaw and felling and processing trees required
Degree or Diploma in Arboriculture Forestry Horticulture Plant Science Landscape Management Environmental Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
Proficient in English language
