Mutual Fund Sales Representative

Our client is sourcing for a Fund Accountant for a 3-month contract.
Calculate the Net Asset Value (NAV) per share or unit by valuing the fund's assets and liabilities, reconciling cash and securities, and posting income accruals, expenses, and management fees.
Transaction Processing: Record all fund transactions such as purchases or sales of securities, income from dividends or interest, and investor subscriptions or redemptions, ensuring trades are correctly settled and recorded.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, support audits and regulatory filings, and provide detailed performance reports to fund managers and investors
Reconciliations: Perform cash and position reconciliations with custodians and brokers and investigate and resolve any discrepancies in trade or balance data
Track and allocate fund expenses such as management, custody, and audit fees, ensuring proper accruals and approvals for payments.
Regulatory and Compliance Support: Maintain compliance with accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and assist with regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
3-5 years of accounting experience in fund accounting (within finance team of investment management firm and/or investment/wealth management arm of Big Bank
Hands-on IFRS reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, fund reporting, etc.
Exposure to financial reporting tools and ability to compile and transform large volumes of data using Excel
Experience using an ERP system ability to validate data across systems
Advanced Excel skills
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and able to work with minimal supervision
