Clinical Engineer Intern

Clinical Engineering Intern Location Toronto, ON : About SickKids Dedicated exclusively to children and their families, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is one of the largest and most respected paediatric healthcare centres in the world. This internship opportunity supports the Medical Engineering Department, part of Information Management and Technology (IMT) at SickKids. Medical Engineering is an innovative group of clinical engineers and biomedical engineering technologists who work in collaboration with staff across the organization in the management of medical technologies for the benefit of SickKids patients. We provide expert advice, planning, installation, and implementation of new technologies that will help health-care providers deliver the best patient care possible. We also manage a comprehensive medical equipment control program which includes corrective and preventative maintenance of all medical technologies to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Open to graduates of Engineering programs, currently enrolled in Masters of Biomedical Engineering programs
Ability to provide excellent customer service and take initiative
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, organized and flexible
Participate in projects pertaining to the management of healthcare technology in the hospital, e.g.
Support incident investigations relating to medical equipment and technology
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
