Reporting to the Department Superintendent the Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a high-performance team of unionized workers to optimize safety product quality and line efficiencies within the Hannon Corrugated plant.
Weekly Rotating Shifts: 6 am to 2 pm; Leading and supervising a team of unionized workers to optimize safety product quality and productivity in the Corrugated Operations
that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled; Maintain and enforce quality standards including food safety (GMP) and good housekeeping protocols; support operations in customer and third-party audits
Develop plans to ensure annual KPI objectives are achieved for safety product quality efficiencies and cost; providing direction and support to continuous improvement initiatives
Coach and performance manage workers with emphasis on frequent communication feedback and promoting a high level of teamwork and engagement
Plan the effective and efficient scheduling of labour equipment and material resources for Corrugated Operations
Provide expertise and direction in the determination of equipment parts and materials needed and coordinating preventative maintenance needs
Provide daily feedback to workers on performance and conduct performance reviews with direct reports
Facilitate crew meetings to ensure current safety quality and production related issues are considered and resolved
Administration and application of the collective agreement and Company policies/procedures
Back-up for the position is the Department Superintendent or as designated by the Production Superintendent.
Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Supervisory or operations leadership experience within the Corrugated packaging sector is highly desired ; experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a prerequisite
Proficient with MS Office applications and systems
Able to work rotating shifts as per operational requirements
