As a Software Engineer at Burq, you will be joining a team of talented engineers working together to transform the way businesses offer on-demand & same-day delivery. You will be part of an emerging team that is building a product to power millions of businesses with their delivery needs.
Backend Engineering
Build and scale Node.js/Express services that power our delivery platform.
Design and maintain RESTful APIs with a focus on scalability, authentication, and performance.
Work with PostgreSQL to design efficient schemas and optimize queries for large datasets.
Frontend Engineering
Develop responsive, maintainable user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
AI/ML Engineering
Design and refine prompts for large language models to optimize route planning, order processing, and customer communications.
Integrate AI capabilities (e.g., AWS Bedrock) into existing workflows and services.
Experiment with AI-powered features to improve delivery efficiency, automation, and user experience.
Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities where AI/ML can solve logistics challenges at scale.
Deploy and manage services in AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
Implement CI/CD pipelines and observability tools to ensure reliability and scalability.
Contribute to technical architecture discussions and decisions.
- 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js in a production environment.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (or other relational databases).
- Experience deploying and monitoring applications in AWS.
Comfortable contributing across both backend and frontend stacks.
