Electrical engineering design engineer (M/F)

WSP's Buildings team engages in the design of commercial, institutional, recreational, and residential buildings. This role requires you to play 'detective' at times through site investigations-understanding systems designed years ago and adapting them to new technology and system design. It's a challenging and exciting career opportunity for the right individual with mid-level technical expertise.

Deliver electrical design, calculations, and specifications for power distribution, control, communication, lighting, fire alarm, security systems, and emergency power.

Prepare AutoCAD drawings and develop Revit 3D models for all electrical system designs.

Apply a complete understanding of Electrical Engineering requirements, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Electrical Safety Authority, and IEEE standards for building and site design.

Perform work individually or as part of a team under the direct supervision of Senior Engineers.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Licensed with PEO.
• 6-10 years of experience in electrical design for building systems.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Familiarity with engineering study software (arc flash, load, fault and coordination studies, lighting, grounding, etc.) is an asset.
• Ability to travel to project sites with own transportation.
