Our leadership and expertise span the entire value chain from research and development through construction operation and maintenance of projects. Currently involved in some of Canadas largest infrastructure projects ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.

As a member of the projects Finance and Commercial team the Project Accountant is responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting. This role manages full-cycle project accounting including payables receivables tax filings accruals and month-end and year-end close. The Project Accountant prepares monthly financial reports monitors costs revenues and cash flow and ensures compliance with budgets accounting standards and internal controls.

Perform full-cycle accounting activities including managing accounts receivable accounts payable holdback accounts HST filings accruals and other related tasks. Monitor project costs expenses and revenues ensuring accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints.
Review and reconcile project-related accounts including payables receivables and general ledger accounts.
Collaborate with project managers to track project progress and identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide financial analysis and support to project teams including variance analysis cost benefit analysis and cash flow projections.
Coordinate with external auditors tax advisors and regulatory agencies as needed.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices related to project accounting.

Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
5 years proven experience as an accountant preferably in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks SAP or Oracle.
This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $79500$111500 CAD with compensation determined based on experience qualifications and internal equity.
