Full Time Security Guard- Night Shift

Site Description: Located in Mi’kma’ki, Saint Mary's University (SMU) is a public institution known for its multicultural campus and strong academic reputation.
Security Officer
Site: SMU
Hours: 4-day on 4-day off (4 days-4 off-4 nights)- 0800-2000Hrs, 2000-0800Hrs
Patrol the building, facilities and exterior grounds
Enforce applicable Smoke-Free Campus and Tobacco Use Policy and document all non-compliance.
Provide assistance, as necessary, to University community members'
Assist in orientation and training of new security personnel, as required.
Monitor surveillance cameras, as required.
Other related duties and assignments, as delegated by the University Security Manager.
Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia
English (oral and written) fluency is a must
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
