Customer Service Lead -Permanent Full Time

The Thrift Store Team Lead is a full time position that oversees the delivery of a dignifying shopping experience in alignment with The Mustard Seeds vision mission and values. With an eye towards the Thrift Stores culture a primary focus for the Team Lead will be on maintaining an inviting and supportive environment for staff volunteers and guests. The Lead will be tasked with coaching and empowering staff & volunteers to meet sales targets. With attention to seasonal trends retail best practices and product availability the Team Lead will oversee product selection merchandising and marketing to drive Thrift Store traffic and sales.
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. Planning specific sales for the month;
Parking Lot Sale National Thrift Store Day etc;
Provide excellent customer service while delivering a pleasant shopping experience;
Display strong customer and sales skills;
Manage customer concerns and complaints;
Manage the Online Store. Using Shopify account posting pictures etc;
Posting of merchandise sales and events on social media;
Ordering necessary materials. Provide support to staff donors volunteers community participants and other guests;
Train empower and support staff & volunteers towards the achievement of daily weekly and monthly sales goals;
Assist as requested;
incident reports near misses) and mandatory training courses (NVCI Safe Talk First Aid).

Experience working within the culture of the inner city and/or with people experiencing poverty or homelessness is an asset;
Experience in managing volunteers is an asset;
Excellent customer service conflict resolution and organizational skills;
Computer and Data Entry Skills required (MS Office Suite);
Experience with Shopify and Square POS an asset;
Empathetic towards and ability to communicate with individuals facing mental healthaddictions chronic illness homelessness poverty and related challenges.

Physical effort: moderate periods of cleaning sitting standing walking indoors and outdoors (predominantly working indoors);
Must be able to respond appropriately to intense situations provide conflict resolution work directly with clients at risk;
