Physiotherapy Assistant

We are currently looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) for a Long Term Care client in Lancaster , Ontario. Working under the direct or indirect supervision of the Physiotherapist, our assistants will work in close contact with residents to help them implement treatment programs and achieve the goals set out for them.
Assist with conducting group exercises for residents, and/or lead one-on-one exercises with the assigned resident as directed by the Physiotherapist.
Document treatments and residents' progress after each therapy session per the Physiotherapist’s instructions.
Monitor any changes to a resident’s health status and report to the Physiotherapist or supervisor.
Perform treatments such as applying an ice pack or hot pack, ultrasound therapy, TENS (electrotherapy), hot wax, etc.
Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home would be a definite asset.
Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-ray is required.
Access to a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license is required.
We will NOT consider RELOCATION - Must be a resident of Lancaster and/or the Surrounding Area.
