Construction Manager M/V

We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-level professional to serve as the primary interface for all project bids throughout North America. This role is essential for orchestrating complex estimates of varying scopes and values by collaborating closely with our Sales, Project Management, and Construction teams. You will be the technical lead responsible for ensuring our bids are accurate, competitive, and fully aligned with the unique requirements of steel and fabric structure projects.

Professional Growth: Take a leading role in continuous improvement initiatives, refining the life cycle of our estimation processes.

Create and maintain precise project cost estimates, including statements of work, labor-hour projections, and detailed narratives.

Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Construction teams to define Work Scopes and ensure that budgets accurately reflect labor, material, and equipment costs.

Manage the Change Order process in line with Management of Change (MoC) protocols to address scope creep and project delays.

Market Analysis: Analyze subcontractor bid submissions and vendor documents to verify accuracy and productivity factors.

Data Stewardship: Maintain a comprehensive database of historical costs and rates to enhance the precision of future project bids.

A minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience in construction estimating is required.

Technical Education: A post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred; Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Construction Estimating Software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex construction drawings, contractual documents, and project schedules.

Character: Must fit the "Hungry, Humble, and Smart" profile, with a focus on quality over speed and the ability to work effectively in a versatile, "all-hands-on-deck" business model.

Readiness: Must be local to Edmonton and possess a valid passport with the ability to qualify for US entry for project-to-project requirements.
