Are you passionate about supporting seniors and contributing to your community? The Better at Home program is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. This key position ensures the effective delivery of services that help seniors remain independent in their homes. The rate of pay is $28.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay; we are open to speaking with those seeking F/T (35hr p/w) and/or a job sharing arrangement.
Supervise, recruit, and manage service providers including house cleaners, yard workers, and snow removal contractors. Review and approve bi-weekly timesheets.
- Financial Administration: Prepare invoices, manage office duties (filing, file management, cleaning), and complete daily and weekly data entry for service records.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Collaborate with the NCSC/Bookkeeper to develop annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and prepare quarterly and yearly reports for submission to the United Way Provincial Office. Grant Writing and Management: Write and submit grant applications and manage awarded grants to secure ongoing program funding.
- Provincial Meetings: Attend Better at Home/Elder Abuse provincial meetings as scheduled to stay informed on initiatives and sector updates.
Previous experience in program coordination, administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with data entry, budgeting, and basic financial administration.
- Familiarity with policy development, grant writing and reporting is an asset.
