Accounting Clerk / Assistant

We are currently seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with a broad range of dealership accounting capabilities, particularly within Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Controller and accounting team, supporting day-to-day dealership accounting operations across multiple departments. While the role is primarily AR and AP focused, it also offers exposure to various areas of dealership accounting, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a well-rounded skill set within the automotive industry.

This position is well suited for an individual who is hands-on, flexible, and eager to grow within dealership accounting, with opportunities for continued learning and career progression.

Perform day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including posting, reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding items

• Compile, verify, and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Post and verify vehicle costs in CDK and OneEighty and or Deskit.
• Assist with payroll records maintenance and related general ledger entries
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve accounting inquiries and discrepancies
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in a dealership.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
