Expected Up to Date: December 31, 2025 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 5 shifts of 7.5 hours per 1 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: As per Terms and Conditions of Employment Travel Required: Yes : Reporting to the Manager of Quality & Safety, the Staff Safety Specialist provides consultation, development & implementation of a variety of resource options for safety and injury prevention which are in alignment with the organization strategic plan, goals & values. This position ensures workplace incidents are fully investigated, that the data is analyzed, trends identified and corrective actions are appropriate and completed by managers and supervisors. In addition, this position provides ongoing consultation with SHA departments utilizing department safety plan frameworks guided by the SHA Management System in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) Safety Management System. ~Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
Bachelor of Education is acceptable
Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is acceptable
Knowledge in the Saskatchewan health care system
Knowledge in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
Strong critical thinking, financial and analytical skills
