Fabrication Structural Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Structural Engineer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Collaborate with procurement, construction, and permitting teams to support project delivery.
Review and validate engineering drawings, vendor submittals, and fabrication details.
Conduct structural analysis and design for steel and concrete systems, including foundations and dynamic equipment supports.
Provide technical leadership on small to mid-sized projects and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor documentation for technical compliance and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
Perform detailed calculations and modeling using industry-standard software and hand methods.
Prepare and review technical specifications, design criteria, and engineering documentation.
Develop innovative and cost-conscious structural solutions aligned with project goals and execution strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience in industrial or resource-based sectors.
Familiarity with construction practices, vendor coordination, and field engineering support.
Strong understanding of seismic and wind load design, dynamic analysis, and structural behavior.
Experience with structural modeling, design of heavy foundations, and equipment support systems.
Prior involvement in mining, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
Proficient in structural codes, standards, and engineering software tools.
