What you will be doing:
Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees;
Ensure that staff members comply with policies, administrative procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations;
Act as a resource person for all employees in the assigned territory;
Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives;
Promote safe work practices, by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings, and meeting one-on-one with staff members;
Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints;
Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transport and improve safety procedures;
Participate in the disciplinary process or the settlement of grievances;
All other related tasks.

What we are looking for:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment ;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
Valid Class 5 Drivers License with 6 or less demerits
Possession of a valid Non-Restricted and Restricted Firearms License (PAL: Possession & Acquisitions License)
Very good leadership, negotiation, and judgment skills;
Strong focus on teamwork and partnership;
Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
Critical thinking and active listening developed.
