Clipwire Games is growing and looking for an Art Director to help shape the visual direction of our current and upcoming mobile game projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced and hands-on art leader who's passionate about mobile games and free-to-play experiences. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and execute a strong, cohesive visual vision - ensuring our games are visually compelling, performant, and aligned with both creative and business goals.
Define and maintain the overall visual direction and artistic vision for assigned game projects
Lead, mentor, and provide feedback to artists across disciplines (UI, UX, 2D, motion, etc.)
Ensure visual consistency and quality across all in-game content, features, events, and live-ops updates
Create or oversee high-quality concept art, mockups, UI flows, and visual prototypes
Guide the development of UI/UX that is clear, intuitive, and optimized for mobile devices
Work with Engineering to ensure art is performant, scalable, and efficiently implemented
Review and approve assets before integration, ensuring they meet quality and technical standards
Support live-ops content creation while maintaining visual freshness and brand consistency
Help improve art pipelines, workflows, and documentation
Strong experience in game art direction, preferably in mobile or free-to-play games
Excellent visual taste with a solid understanding of composition, color, typography, and UI/UX principles
Hands-on experience creating or reviewing UI, 2D art, and visual systems
Understanding of mobile constraints, performance considerations, and asset optimization
Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Unity)
Experience working on live games or live-ops content is a strong asset
