Senior Software Engineer - Work from home

Our software measures and models the worldwide Internet. It also directs traffic for our globally distributed network of servers. This software allows us to manage our customers' Internet information flows with industry-leading performance and reliability.

As part of our team, you'll develop software that will improve the speed, reliability and security of web experiences all over the world. As a Senior II Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Analyzing, designing, and implementing systems software that brings new functionality and increased accuracy, reliability and performance to our mapping system

Improving the scalability, robustness, and ease of use of our software systems for testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance

Becoming a subject matter expert for our systems, explaining and improving our software, and assisting with troubleshooting

Measuring, assessing, and tuning the effects of our global control systems

Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or an MS/PhD and 5 years' experience

Demonstrate solid experience working in C/C++ or another object-oriented language

Have experience coding for distributed systems and/or evaluating large (internet-scale) datasets

Be familiar with the Linux operating system and scripting languages (e.g. Python, shell, perl)

The base salary for this position ranges from 120,400 - 216,600 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
