We have a provincial Audiology director who supports Audiology practice at Alberta Health Services along with experienced Audiology colleagues with whom to collaborate and access for mentorship. There is training for audiologists as more than half our caseload is pediatrics. As an Audiologist, you will be working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, where you will be responsible for the screening, identification, assessment and management of patients (clients) presenting with hearing and balance (vestibular) disorders. You will use your clinical expertise to inform program development and planning. You will interpret findings, provide counselling regarding hearing loss and balance dysfunction, and establish appropriate intervention plans to manage and reduce the functional impact of hearing loss.
