Maintenance Technician

37.00 - $39.75/hour (salary increase based on annual performance review per company policy)

Fruit and vegetable manufacturing and processing plant
Work Site Environment: Cold/refrigerated, Wet/damp, Noisy
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Languages: English
Experience: 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Material handling equipment, Hydraulics, electronics, electrical and mechanical servicing and repair
Personal Suitability: Database software applications, Google Apps
Maintain and perform daily preventive maintenance on material handling equipment (including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
Maintain battery room and chargers to include charging and changing batteries for material handling equipment
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
Maintain appropriate levels of material handling equipment maintenance supplies
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local guidelines, including OHS
