Tech Tester

Our client, a Top 5 Canadian bank , is seeking Control Testing Specialists to join their enterprise Monitoring & Testing (M&T) team. This group is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of controls across corporate banking, capital markets, wealth, and private banking. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in operational and design effectiveness control testing within a financial services environment.

Develop comprehensive test plans outlining scope, objectives, methodology, and success criteria.

• Conduct control tests to evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Analyze risks associated with operational processes, identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of testing processes, results, and deficiencies.
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and internal audit teams to share insights and coordinate efforts.
• Ensure operations align with applicable regulations and support remediation of control deficiencies.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures with business units.
• Continuously monitor control effectiveness and report on operational risk and resiliency.
• Provide training and awareness programs to enhance understanding of controls and risk management.

5–10 years of experience in control testing or risk/compliance roles.

• Strong understanding of sampling and population development for testing.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.
