Job Summary:
The Senior Programmer/SQL Developer is responsible for supporting and maintaining health applications developing and managing technical solutions and contributing to the architecture of systems within an enterprise environment. The role involves extensive work with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) relational database systems and BI technologies.
Location:Fredericton New Brunswick Canada
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing SQL Server databases tables views queries functions stored procedures indexes scheduled jobs triggers packages and performance tuning.
- Designing developing and deploying SSRS reports and/or PowerBI dashboards.
- Developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment.
- Contributing to architecture where multiple systems and domains need to be considered from an enterprise view.
- Working as a Senior Programmer/SQL Developer on a health analytics or health reporting database system.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 15 years of IM/IT experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting and maintaining health applications for a Regional Health Authority and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including the creation of SSIS packages.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
- Experience working as a Senior Programmer/SQL Developer on a health analytics or health reporting database system for Regional Health Authorities and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction.
- Experience with relational database systems including SQL Server (version 2012 or later).
- Experience maintaining and developing SQL Server databases tables views queries functions stored procedures indexes scheduled jobs triggers packages and performance tuning for SQL Server implementations.
- Experience with Enterprise BI or other analytic/data warehouse technology.
- Experience in designing developing and deploying SSRS reports and/or PowerBI dashboards.
- Experience in developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment.
- Experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains need to be considered from an enterprise view.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Power BI administration.
- Experience with Cognos/Impromptu.
