The Production Operator is responsible for filling palletizing and the loading of bagged limestone quicklime and hydrated lime products as well as various other duties as assigned around the plant to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
Responsible for the proper filling of bag products to comply with specifications and customer requirements.
Ability to operate problem solve and make necessary adjustments to the Bag Packers Palletizer and Stretch Wrappers.
Continuously inspect all bagging related equipment to detect mechanical problems and ensure employee safety.
Perform a wide variety of general manual labour work requiring repetitive heavy lifting shoveling handwork climbing and performing work at different heights.
Cleaning of spilled lime and limestone product and residue on top of under and out of different locations throughout the plant.
Willingness to work shift work seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes including overtime.
Must have a telephone and be open to call-outs.
Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 150 feet confined spaces climbing ladders or stairs and accessing tunnels.
Extreme Heat and Cold Noise Vibration Oils and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust Fumes and Lime/Mineral Particles.
High school diploma.
Minimum of previous labor experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired.
Basic computer proficiency.
