We are seeking a skilled and compassionate GP Anesthetist to join our dynamic team in Terrace, BC. As a key member of our Medical Staff, you would be providing essential care to a catchment area of approximately 86,000 people.
Ksyen Regional Hospital has 4 operating rooms and currently provides the following surgical services:
General Surgery
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Otolaryngology (visiting)
Ophthalmology
Plastic Surgery
Dental Surgery
Urology (visiting)
Orthopaedic Surgery (with a dedicated OR suite)

Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients in November 2024. More than double the size of the previous hospital, it is a center for trauma services, acute care, surgical services pathology, radiology, clinical support and pharmacy services for the Northwest region. The hospital staff prides itself on delivering culturally safe care to our Indigenous populations.
42 Acute Care Beds
20 bed Psychiatry unit
4 surgical suites, including a dedicated Orthopedics OR
6 ICU Beds, with potential to expand to 8
20 Bed Emergency Department with 2 Trauma Bays
Large Ambulatory Care Unit
Community Cancer clinic
Hemodialysis Unit
Pediatric Care Space
MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine services
The new hospital will also include a Tier 3 neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery, which will provide community-based antenatal and postnatal services, education and parenting support to pregnant individuals.
The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program and residents through the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program.

Enjoy the mild winters, back and cross country skiing, heli-skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, indoor and outdoor skating, ice-fishing and an evening soak in the local hot springs. In the summer, go golfing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming in the pristine lakes and of course, the world-class Salmon fishing. Keep an eye out for a rare white Kermode or “spirit” bear. Terrace is a vibrant, entrepreneurial and friendly community with a medical catchment area of 31000, clean air, affordable life and housing. Historically a forestry industry, Terrace has grown into a regional service town with government and educational social services as the biggest employers as well as strong presence of construction, trades, transportation and growth in manufacturing and tourism. There are three secondary and six elementary schools, one long-distance education and one French emersion, a Northwest Community College campus and a University of British Columbia campus.
