Accounting Assistant - Full TIme

We are seeking a highly organized, meticulous, and proactive Accounting Assistant to support our global finance operations, ensure data integrity, and drive AP/AR efficiencies.
The Accounting Assistant drives full-cycle accounts payable, executes complex multi-currency reconciliations, and supports critical month-end closing procedures. The role also manages corporate credit card reconciliations, vendor Master Data, and targeted accounts receivable cycles, maintaining strict compliance with corporate financial policies and SOPs.
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
Review vendor invoices against purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure proper documentation is in place and to maintain accurate Cost of Goods Sold tracking.
Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier billing inquiries and proactively resolve or escalate vendor discrepancies.
Maintain the integrity of vendor master records on databases and international registration platforms.
Process debit/credit notes and generate comprehensive statements of account.
Prepare and review weekly accounts payable aging reports.
Perform monthly corporate credit card reconciliations in multiple currencies.
Month-End Support & Accounts Receivable
Monitor open purchase orders, advance payments, accruals, and prepaid expenses to directly support the Finance Lead with month-end closing procedures.
Manage select accounts receivable cycles, which includes monitoring AR aging, investigating complex legacy balances, processing collections to recover overdue funds, and maintaining customer master records.
Administrative & Process Compliance
Draft and continuously update accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all financial documentation is archived in strict compliance with company policies.
Provide Spanish–English financial translation support when required.
Support the Finance Lead with ad-hoc accounting tasks and operational improvements.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (working towards CPA or a Diploma in Accounting is highly advantageous).

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and complex financial reconciliations.
• Strong familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel functions.

Professional proficiency in English required.
Professional proficiency in Spanish is required for financial translation and vendor/customer communication purposes.
Exceptional organizational skills with a rigorous attention to detail and data integrity.
Hybrid work arrangement with at least 2 days per week mandatory on-site .
Hourly wage: $24 – $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
This role is eligible to earn commissions in accordance with prevailing company policy.
