As Pharmacist 5 Team Lead youll provide leadership and program management for the Formulary Management team supervising pharmacists and other staff under the direction of the Director. Youll oversee drug formulary processes offer expert advice on pharmacy practice and policy and represent the Ministry in inter-jurisdictional committees to ensure BCs priorities are heard. This role combines clinical knowledge with strategic influenceshaping drug coverage decisions guiding evidence-informed reviews and building relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders. Graduation from recognized Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minimum Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
Current registration and License in good standing as a Licensed Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
A minimum of five years of experience as a licensed practicing Pharmacist.
Demonstrated experience in medical literature searches analysis appropriate interpretation of study results and critical appraisal of all types of medical literature.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) master or doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences population and public health health economics or related disciplines).
Experience in leading or supervising pharmacists or other pharmacy team members.
Experience in applying critical appraisal skills as part of daily pharmacist duties.
Considerable experience (2 years) in formulary management and have led an evidence-informed drug review process to determine formulary benefits through individual drug reviews and/or therapeutic/class reviews using relevant information for decision-making and business planning including clinical evidence pharmacoeconomic evidence clinical practice input patient input and a budget impact analysis.
