Salary Range Min: $85,711, Control: $114,281, Max: $125,709. Placement within a salary band is typically up to Control Point based upon a review of skills, experience & internal equity. The College may place over Control point in limited circumstances.

The Opportunity The Assistant Registrar is a key member of the Enrolment Services Leadership team, working in close collaboration with the other Assistant Registrars to deliver effective registrarial services. Under the direction of the Associate Registrar, the Assistant Registrar manages the day-to-day operations of the Student Success unit at Douglas College that support current students with academic advising and student financial aid and awards.
The Assistant Registrar provides leadership and is responsible for developing comprehensive training plans, supervising direct reports, and ensuring staff are following current policies and procedures. The Assistant Registrar is also responsible for assessing and initiating change to existing services, developing new processes that will deliver effective services, and ensuring that high service levels and standards are met.
The Assistant Registrar acts under the direction of the Associate Registrars and Registrar to implement and execute the strategic priorities of Enrolment Services and the strategic and academic plans of Douglas College, and participates in the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures; participates in the planning of budget, resources requirements, allocations and deployment; That’s how Douglas College defines a great career. The Assistant Registrar is accountable for the following:

Manages and plans the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring consistency of practice and maintenance of excellent service levels;
Ensures personnel are following current policies and procedures and processes are executed promptly and efficiently;
Maintains currency with institutional and government policies and procedures;

A minimum of three years of supervisory and leadership experience in administering student financial aid & awards, advising, and/or customer service operations, preferably in a public post-secondary educational institution, including strong working knowledge and experience with Registrarial operations such as financial aid, scholarships and awards, advising, etc.;
This regular full-time position is available starting January 20, 2026.
Regular hours of work are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Travel between Douglas College’s campuses will be required.
As per the DC Administration Policy A70 Work from Home, College employees may be eligible to work from home on a part-time basis, subject to operational requirements and approval by their Responsible Administrator (RA).
