We’re looking for a part-time school bus driver, ideally someone who already holds a Class 1 or Class 2 license at Sept-Îles !

There’s nothing better than accompanying Charlotte from Grade 1 to Grade 6. Autobus du Fer Inc., is seeking school bus drivers to safely transport students to and from school in the North Shore of Quebec region of Sept-Îles. Be part of the daily journey of dozens of young students!
Morning and afternoon, you’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle, driving safely, maintaining discipline on board, and making multiple stops to pick up and drop off children. Rain or shine, we count on you to get them to school safely.

We need drivers in these areas:

• Havre-St-Pierre
• Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan (urgent)
• Rivière-au-Tonnerre
• Natashquan
• Port-Cartier (urgent)
• Maliotenam
• MRC de Minganie
• Sept-Îles (urgent)

• Hiring bonus up to $1,700 with the Fidelibus program
• Attendance bonus up to $2,400 with the Fidelibus program
• Stable schedule aligned with the school calendar (spring break, holiday season, etc.)
• Weekly hours range from 25 to 40
• Paid leave for pedagogical days and snowstorms
• Hourly wage: $26.52
• Free training if you don’t have a Class 2 license

Nothing beats your new routine

• Drive the vehicle to transport children to school or home
• Ensure the safety of children when they board and exit the bus and when they cross the street at the bus stop
• Maintain discipline on board the vehicle
• Keep mandatory reports up to date (RDS report, daily log, etc.)
• Perform vehicle safety checks;
• Keep the vehicle clean;
• Refuel the vehicle at the end of the day.

Requirements

• No criminal record related to the job;
• Good driving record;
• Good knowledge of the area;
• The minimum age to hold a school bus driver’s license in Quebec is 21;
• Two years of driving experience;
• Spoken and written language: French;
• Class 1 license (an asset);
• Class 2 license (an asset);
• Class 4B license (an asset);
• Class 5 license (required)
• Valid Canadian work permit (required)
