We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Designer, to join our Mechanical Engineering team. Generate drawings and technical data packages to be released for manufacturing

Design optomechanical systems using CAD (Autodesk Inventor)

Perform FEA to assess environmental impacts such as thermal, shock and vibration (FEMAP and NX Nastran)

Support legacy designs through change management system and maintaining drawing package

Technical writing and presentations to support design reviews both internally and with external customers

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Ability to use CAD software to design and develop products. Proficient user in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Background in Physics, or experience in the field of optics

Knowledge of FEA concepts and how to apply them using FEA software. Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 65,000 CAD - 107,800 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
