The Veterinary Specialty Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador is the province’s only specialty referral center and full-service emergency hospital. It was originally founded to make sure that no pet owner would have to leave the province to get the proper care their pet needs.

We have the only board-certified radiologist in the province, regular locum board-certified surgeons, a CT scanner, as well as an MRI machine. We run a canine blood donor program and have the only ICU that is fully staffed 24 hours a day, Sunday – Thursday. Through our comprehensive approach, we are able to provide the opportunity to practice gold standard medicine. As an emergency and referral hospital, our emergency department handles an exciting and diverse caseload, inspiring lifelong learning and growth. This person is self-motivated, confident in their medical abilities and able to collaborate with other doctors, as needed. Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland and Labrador
