The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12000 students employs over 1400 full-time equivalent staff and covers a geographical area of more than 16000 square kilometers (Whitney in the North Picton in the South Trenton in the West and Kingston in the East).

The ESL Instructor provides English as a Second Language instruction to adult immigrants in all aspects of the English language with an emphasis on oral communication. The Instructor communicates subjects about Canadian culture including Canadian history geography customs/traditions idioms and laws to assist them with their integration into Canadian society .
Relevant post secondary education or equivalent in Education and related experience;
Experience in English language instruction
Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) qualifications as recognized by TESL Ontario;
Ability to deliver online and in-person instruction simultaneously
Excellent understanding of Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB);
Training in Portfolio-Based Language Assessment (PBLA);
Previous experience delivering instructional programming to adults;
Strong computer skills pedagogy curriculum development and assessment skills;
Creates develops and implements new processes or services with the aim of improving the learning community for all.
