Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Manager youll document processes and procedures lead process improvements and support lean initiatives to boost efficiency quality and safety. Youll also assist in jig and fixture design and help maintain clear work instructions. Identify analyze and lead the implementation of process improvementsSupport lean manufacturing initiatives including but not limited to 5S line balancing waste reduction and cycle time Capital Expenditure projects and lead capital projects while meeting productivity and safety goals and staying within budget and timeline constraints. Design and source dies fixtures and tooling to support production work instructions and standard work charts including training to production and maintain shop floor layouts in 2D CADPerform process audits to maintain Operational Excellence systemsPlan and execute cell layout updates and line balancing to optimize labor reduce waste and improve process safety in close collaboration with production associatesContinuously learn and become an expert in problem solving continuous improvement product manufacturability and manufacturing best practices in a sheet metal manufacturing environmentLead Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through execution while maintaining timelines and and enhance operator-based Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) spare parts inventory and coordinate maintenance with vendors and third-party duties as assignedThe ideal candidate for this position will have: B.S. in Engineering (emphasis on Industrial or Mechanical); Associates Degree in Process Technology or Industrial Engineering or CET equivalentExperience with Lean Manufacturing projects and continuous improvement practices a mustExperience in sheet metal or HVAC manufacturing is highly in CAD software (SolidWorks is a plus) Microsoft Excel and ERP experience a plusAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and and commitment to manufacturing operations and continuous improvementStrong problem-solving critical thinking and organizational communication and interpersonal abilities; If youre passionate about manufacturing thrive in fast-paced settings and want to help shape the future of production this is the role for this excellent opportunity interest you please submit your resume including salary Limited hires on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity.
